  This is our first time coming here. Upon arrival, we were asked if we wanted to eat in or take out. We told her we wanted to eat in and she told us to take a seat wherever we wanted. After seating, she brought us a menu and asked if we wanted anything to drink. A few minutes later, she came back with some chips and salsa and our waters and took our orders.
  
  We waited about 20 ish minutes for our food to arrive, everything was hot and fresh. She came by halfway between our waiting to let us know that our food will be out soon. It was delicious! I had 2 items and went with a chicken taco and tamale. To be honest, the tamale could've been better but it was still good. The taco was soo juicy and delicious!! It was packed with chicken and just so good! The food was filling and it was nice being there. Parking is limited but we were lucky to get a parking right in front.

  This restaurant is a treasure that you could easily miss on Marina Blvd. Mexican and Italian?? They do both EXCELLENTLY. My dad always comes here for the spaghetti and meatballs. The portion sizes are generous and everything I've ever ordered has been delicious. I love their chorizo tacos The chorizo tastes homemade! Not like most taqueria's. Joel, the chef and owner, cooks really great authentic and tasty food. He runs the place with his family and they have been here for years. They are a very sweet and it's really nice to have a family business like this with great food and friendly service. This is one of my go-to places for Mexican... or Italian!
  
  Tips: Their Alfredo sauce is RICH. If you like spicy food ask for a roasted jalapeno! Spicy and flavorful :)

  Just had lunch here and the food was great.  
  
  We began with calamari with garlic butter which was a wonderful appetizer.  My wife had chile reano with a chicken enchilada with green sauce. I had a garlic shrimp dish with rice and beans. They served fresh flour tortillas.  We were both full and very happy.
  
  There are also Italian items on the menu that were also appealing, but probably too heavy for lunch, but certainly not for dinner.
  
  The service was efficient and pleasant. The food arrived in a timely manner. They serve wine and beer, no hard alcohol drinks.
  
  I highly recommend this restaurant. The meals were
  very good, served in ample amounts.

  You could easily miss the Marina Restaurant located on the corner with a limited amount of parking; this is not the most appealing restaurant, but honestly, come for the owners and the delicious food!
  
  I am delighted to say that I tried the Marina Restaurant for my first time yesterday (10/30/18). My Meetup Group decided to help me celebrate my birthday with Italian food (YUMMY!). Honestly, once I pulled up to the restaurant, I thought it was a joke. Marina Restaurant looks like a pizza establishment from the front. They're not cooking pizza up in here, baybee! They're cooking some delicious Mexican and Italian food! Now, Marina Restaurant is definitely known for their *Mexican food. Many people in my party were hesitated in coming as they reviewed this place online and nothing about Italian food came up.
  
  We had a set menu for our group. We started off with salad and garlic bread and then the main dishes started to arrive. Ahh, the lovely smell of Italian food makes me get SO EXCITED!!! We were able to taste several different Italian kinds of pasta and my favorite was the Alfredo pasta! OH EMM GEE!
  
  After dinner was all done, as I'm talking about how full I am...I was quickly surprised with a birthday cake coming from the owners. If you don't know ANYTHING about the Marina Restaurant, they are well-known for their delicious Tiramisu. If you enjoy it and want to order more you can ask them for a sheet of Tiramisu (make sure you order in advance).
  
  The service is wonderful! The owner was so apologetic for the wait time of our food we were a group of 25, so I totally understand the wait time for the main course.
  
  I truly enjoyed Marina! I can see myself coming back to try their torta and tacos. It's rare to be able to find a restaurant that does both: Mexican and Italian. Overall, a big THANK YOU to the owners at Marina Restaurant for truly making my birthday a memorable one!

  Marina Restaurant is a family operated eatery with a small dining area.  10ish tables. building looks like a former house.
  
  offerings: typical Mexican and Italian menu
  eats: carna asada torta(8.50)
  -chewy, large pieces of thin "carna asada" steak with red onion, avocado, mayo, lettuce, tomato, tasted fresh. lite salsa paired well with tortilla chips. spicy salsa added needed punch to lackluster torta
